In a way he suffereed a fate worse than death becuase he had to watch the people around him commit suicide because of a selfish mistake he made. I like this better because it shows that death is not the only way to suffer.Alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04559853044703586908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2414075573242640505.post-88144355703475940122011-01-06T18:08:57.340-08:002011-01-06T18:08:57.340-08:00Yes, Sophocles is quite an extraordinary playwrigh...Yes, Sophocles is quite an extraordinary playwright!Balgleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06298088627497312968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2414075573242640505.post-1101563690102490082011-01-05T20:34:41.110-08:002011-01-05T20:34:41.110-08:00Ok so out of all the plays and boring books, i act...Ok so out of all the plays and boring books, i actually layed down to read this entire play. I feel like there's one person that the author didn't want to die with the rest of the people so he must be someone special that should be left in this world. Tragedies are meant for someone to die but I feel like this main character lived while in Shakespeare, the protagonists died.Ivy Huhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16427982886038057098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2414075573242640505.post-41448126123368400452011-01-04T21:22:54.726-08:002011-01-04T21:22:54.726-08:00My Comment has nothing to do with the Structure of...My Comment has nothing to do with the Structure of Antigone but I just wanted to inform you that I'm really liking this Play..Jeanette B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12777452894885788502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2414075573242640505.post-66960989252722703742011-01-04T16:52:50.654-08:002011-01-04T16:52:50.654-08:00I have to agree with Brittany! But what's unique about the death in this play, is that Creon was left to live while the other's died around him, leaving him to suffer, which is what I find interesting. In my opinion if this would have been one of Shakespears's tragedies, I think Creon would have died as well, because usually in Shakespeare's tragedies most of the main character's die.Brittanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05859125897683073270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2414075573242640505.post-20003548742648524702011-01-04T12:02:46.580-08:002011-01-04T12:02:46.580-08:00I thought it was pretty funny that the chorus came...I thought it was pretty funny that the chorus came and mistaken Antigone's actions for the actions of a God. That could be considered Irony. Also the chrous' speach, Creon threatend him by saying he could be mistaken for an old man! HA! I love how Creon threatend the gaurd as well!Raymond Camachohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09179902902081963200noreply@blogger.com
